Case Studies 12th Business Studies Food on plate

On 13 April, 2017, Consumer affair minister Ram Vilas Paswan Increased his efforts to protect the right of the food consumer in India. Minister Paswan said that government would ask restaurants and hotels to specify the portion size of a meal  to enable customers to place right amount of order at the counter or to the serving staff. There is one more intention behind this move. Government intends to check Food wastage at hotels and restaurants. He further said government has no intention to bring law regarding this. Government will encourage Hotels and Restaurants to take voluntary steps.
